Parts Work Practice

1. Introduction
Parts Work Practice ("PWP," "we," "us," or "our") is a peer-learning community cofounded by Bill Tierney and Alison Dyer. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
This policy applies to all interactions with our website at www.partsworkpractice.com, our free online practice sessions, our volunteer program, the Parts Work Guidebook, our email communications, and our presence on Facebook, Telegram, and Reddit.
Parts Work Practice is not therapy and does not replace professional mental health care. Our sessions are educational and experiential, designed to help participants learn and practice the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model for personal growth.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
When you interact with our website and community, you may voluntarily provide:
Sign-up form submissions: name, email address, and session day preferences when registering for practice session reminders (collected via LeadConnector / GoHighLevel)
Volunteer applications: name, contact information, IFS training background, and related details submitted through the Google Forms volunteer application
Zoom session participation: your display name, video, and audio when joining live practice sessions via Zoom
Facebook Group activity: posts, comments, and profile information visible within the Parts Work Practice Facebook Group
Telegram and Reddit activity: usernames, messages, and any content you share in the Parts Work Practice channels on those platforms
Email correspondence: any information you send us directly via email
b. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, certain data may be collected automatically:
Usage data: pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and click patterns
Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
Squarespace analytics: our website is hosted on Squarespace, which collects standard analytics data as described in its own privacy policy

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To send you session reminder emails, Zoom links, and handouts the day before each practice session
To send occasional newsletters from Bill Tierney, Cofounder of Parts Work Practice (if you opt in)
To process volunteer applications and communicate with Practice Assistants
To operate our Zoom practice sessions (including managing breakout rooms and session access)
To maintain and moderate the Parts Work Practice Facebook Group, Telegram channel, and Reddit community
To operate, maintain, and improve our website
To comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Third-Party Services and Tools
We use the following third-party services in connection with our website and community. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:
Squarespace: website hosting and built-in analytics (www.squarespace.com/privacy)
LeadConnector / GoHighLevel: sign-up forms and email reminder delivery
Google Forms: volunteer applications
Zoom: video conferencing for all practice sessions (free, 75-minute sessions)
Facebook: the Parts Work Practice private Facebook Group for community discussion and event announcements
Telegram: the Parts Work Practice Telegram channel for community communication
Reddit: the r/PartsWorkPractice subreddit for community discussion
Amazon / Kindle: distribution of the Parts Work Guidebook (Amazon has its own privacy policy governing purchases)
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies provided by Squarespace and embedded third-party tools. These cookies help us understand how visitors use our site and allow certain features (like sign-up forms) to function properly.

6. Email Communications
When you complete the sign-up form on our website, you may opt in to receive session reminder emails and/or occasional newsletters from Bill Tierney. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You may opt out at any time, and we will promptly remove you from our mailing list.
We will never share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Practice Session Confidentiality
Confidentiality and respect are among our core values. All participants and volunteers are expected to protect what is shared during practice sessions. What is discussed in sessions should not be repeated outside of the session.
PWP practice sessions are not therapy. They are educational and experiential peer-learning sessions. We do not diagnose, treat, or manage mental health conditions. Nothing shared in a PWP session is protected by therapist-client privilege. If you need clinical support, please consult a licensed therapist.
8. Zoom Sessions and Recordings
Our practice sessions are conducted live via Zoom. Sessions are not recorded by PWP. Participants are expected to keep their video on during sessions (when possible) and use their real first name as their display name, in keeping with our community norms.
We do not record sessions. If this policy changes, we will notify participants in advance and obtain consent.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide session reminders and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. If you request that we delete your data, we will do so within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it by law.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: You may ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Opt-out: You may unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.

Our website is served over HTTPS, and we rely on the security infrastructure of our third-party service providers (Squarespace, Zoom, GoHighLevel, etc.). No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
